That Torres underperformance may be down to psychology is a powerful theory.
Let's see whether he is the psychological genius Mourinho was at Chelsea!
Football Clubs, Soccer VS other sports and uh ........other stuff!!
This blog is about my concerns and interests, chief of which is Soccer or Football if you like. If you don't agree with my opinions, I hope at least they make some sense.

A.C. Milan no longer club soccer Super Elite.
Real Madrid 2, Milan Nil.
Deceptive scoreline. Shoulda been wider.
It doesn't seem Milan will win the UCL anytime soon. They no longer buy the best players, and more worrisome, they don't seem capable of attracting the best managers.
Mourinho's Champions League experience advantage seemed overwhelming.
Milan will have to worry deeply about the return leg.

Wayne Rooney? This May be the Shocking Move of the Year!
Wayne Rooney wants to leave Manchester Utd. Wow!!
I'm no Red Devils Fan, but I will feel a sense of loss if he leaves Man U, particularly for a non premiership side?
Players like Rooney have come to embody the personality of United, and indeed that of the Premiership. With him leaving, things may not seem to be the same.
The worrisome aspect of all this is the Ferguson angle. Once more, the old man is causing a great player to leave the club.
I believe Sir Alex has taken this "responsibility off the pitch" thing TOO FAR. Considering the pressure they face in their game, footballers should be allowed to decide what they can do outside the pitch, so long as it does not affect their game and so long as they are breaking no laws. They cannot be expected to bear the same scrutiny as lawyers and politicians.
The real question is, does all this holler about off field ethics actually make the players better behaved? Generally not! We are still yet to hear about so many other escapades, and we will.
With so much money, youth and good athletic physiques, the temptation top footballers face daily is likely to be enormous.
Let's see whether Fergie can eat humble pie and back down this time!

Who was Greater? Pele or Maradona
This has become one of the most interesting debates in Football. The ongoing jibes two 2 men are still throwing at each other don't help matters. Read my article about it at http://ezinearticles.com/?6-Reasons-Why-Pele-Was-Better-Than-Maradona&id=4430121

Liverpool: Roy Hodgson's ass on fire!
I've often questioned if an Englishman can handle any of the premiership's top sides today. Apart from Sir Alex Ferguson, the evidence simply doesn't add up.
I was worried for Liverpool when they hired Hodgson. To be honest, his experience in Europe should have qualified him, but everything that's happened so far is somehow catastrophic.
Rafa Benitez's Reds were a very psychological side. Rafa knew how to get the best out of his side on a big day, though they always underachieved against smaller sides, which was why Rafa never won the premiership.
It seems for Hodgson to succeed, he has to get the players to be willing to go the extra mile for him. He's not going to achieve this by blaming it all on them when things go wrong!

Should Fabregas Leave Arsenal?
The Clamor by Barcelona Fans and Players for Arsenal Captain Cesc Fabregas to join them seems to be reaching a crescendo.
While Barca proved that they are currently a more effective team than Arsenal, can the potential of the current Arsenal Squad be ignored if, as Arsenal Faithfuls would hope, Arsenal Management are willing to break the wage ceiling, thereby removing the incentive any predators may be able to dangle in order to lure the Gunner's youngsters away?
Should Fab move Barcawards, he may find himself in the same position he was at Euro 2008: Something more like a super - sub. It will take time for the likes of Xavi and Iniesta to be considered too old to be Barca regulars. The case of Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes at Manchester United comes to mind.
Fabregas has a tough choice to make, as a lot depends on how much Arsenal's ambitions as a club increase!

Predicting Who Wins Between Inter and Bayern Munich
Something suggests that Inter Milan will find Bayern Munich tougher to handle than Barcelona.
Why?
Despite all their huge talent, Barcelona found themselves in a situation whereby they relied almost too much on Lionel Messi. So Inter had a somewhat simple task: Stop Messi, reduce Barcelona's attacking power by at least 40%.
Against Bayern, Inter won't enjoy such a luxury. Bayern have 3 equally deadly forwards: Ribery, Robben and Olic, neither of whom have won the champions league before. For Ribery, for instance, the Champions League may be his brightest chance for a global trophy in 2010.
For Inter, my fear is that the lingering euphoria of beating Barca may just cause them not to pay attention to the strengths of a Bayern team that seems to have reached the final through the benefits of the away goal rule.
It will be a tough final. The hunger of Jose Mourinho, who has no world cup to be in, may be the added catalyst that Inter need to finish the good work started.
